Luka signed a three year extension with The Lakers, but he says he wants LeBron to retire with The Lakers.
100% that's not what he's telling his agent.Luka signed a three year extension with The Lakers, but he says he wants LeBron to retire with The Lakers.
I suspect that Luka is trying to gently shove LeBron out the door, but this is all being done in private. This is Luka's team now.100% that's not what he's telling his agent.
And their styles to not mesh at all.I suspect that Luka is trying to gently shove LeBron out the door, but this is all being done in private. This is Luka's team now.
not in 5 years in the last year of that deal ..De'Aaron Fox has signed a four year 229 million dollar contract with San Antonio. Is he really worth that kind of money? I wonder.
0 chance the lakers buy him out .. they have 0 reason to do soIt's going to be very difficult for any Lebron trade to happen. He has a no-trade clause, and any team that trades for him will have to gut their roster to get the salary match. If the season doesn't go as planned, he will get a buyout, but otherwise he's a Laker for this final season of his contract. It's in everyone's best interest for Lebron to leave after this season
La will Trade bron if they can get better long term with cap and winning with Luka. It’s a matter of time.
And their styles to not mesh at all.
This is his last year in LA. He’ll either accept trade or walk next summerWhen Lebron James declines to the point that the Lakers would even consider trading him, he'll just retire.
Wade is a much better slasher and making quick/decisive moves. Also Wade & Bron were in their primes & had a prime Bosh. The fact they didn’t win 4-5 speaks on how much fit matters. Lebron & Luka probe a long time & neither (especially Luka) do well off the ball. Also both are minus defenders now, obviously Lebron wasn’t while in Miami.Neither did Wade's, but it doesn't really matter when you're talking about some of the best players in the league. Doncic won the West on a lesser Mavs team. The issues were more about the rest of the roster. Had the Mark Williams trade gone through, the Lakers were probably #2 or #3 team in the league behind OKC and Denver.
I don’t think Mark Williams would have won them the series against Minnesota. The lack of defense and fit wouldn’t have gotten any better with him.

He’s not done playing

lots of smoke that he is going to the help start a new league .. maybe in 26 or maybe in 27 ..This is his last year in LA. He’ll either accept trade or walk next summer

he was 2nd team all nba this season ... and the Lakers would 100% trade him today for the right offer .. (that offer is not out there )When Lebron James declines to the point that the Lakers would even consider trading him, he'll just retire.
Sure, but Jaxson Hayes could’ve helped too. Reddick was set on going small. Also Williams is skilled & is better with the ball than being a lob threat. I don’t think he would’ve fit well or been near the difference they needed to beat Minnesota. He would have been enough to keep Gobert from looking like Wilt Chamberlain.
