NBA- OU players and general (this thread only)

trae is currently on a max deal
Yes...and Trae is a 4-time NBA All-Star selection. My frustration with him is he never developed into anything close to a consistent 3-point shooter after we saw his range in college. But at the end of the day, he's still a 4-time all-star. I hope AR keeps it going so that he can earn his first selection. They're hard to get.

As for the Lakers, if D Ayton can stay healthy, this will be a dangerous Lakers team once LeBron and Luka return. AR is THE MAN at the moment, though!

As for the Pelicans, the fans should be excited about Fears to this point. He was a -12 against Denver in 30 minutes of action, but they lost by 34 points. There just isn't much talent on that roster.

Fears had 13 points 8 assists, 4 steals in a loss to the clippers. Only 4-14 from the field but he was 2-5 from 3.

Up next they play the Thunder.

Austin Reaves with another solid game 21 points, 4 rebounds and assists. Doncic with 44 and 12 reb, 6 assists led the Lakers to a win over Memphis.

This is certainly a solid backcourt but J.J. had to bench Ayton in the second half.

They reported that he was a game-time decision due to lower back tightness, and it worsened during the first half. At least that's what they are saying.....

Fears is not playing that bad. The Thunder are just the best team in the NBA without 2 of their 3 best players.

Fears ended up with 16 points 4 rebounds, 4 assists, also 5 turnovers. Thunder won 137-106. Pelicans are now 0-6.

Reaves missed another game last night with his groin injury. (It's amazing -- we know what his exact injury is. Someone needs to tell these pro teams that injuries must be treated like state secrets!)

Pelicans have won 2 straight games. Fears continues to be in double figures although not shooting as good as he did earlier this year.

Wish the Lakers would realize they don't need LeBron 👋🏻✌🏻
At the end of Kobe's career, the Lakers no longer needed what he could contribute. They allowed it to play out and let the guy who carried their franchise to go out on his terms. Lebron came to LA, got Anthony Davis to come, and won a championship. I know most will say it was just a bubble title, but who would scoff at the title if it were their team? Obviously, LA decided to let Lebron stay or leave based on his decision. Clearly, it is almost over, and LA will move on as they always have, after Kareem, Magic, Shaq, & Kobe. I know many around here hate Lebron, but he still has something in the tank, and he can help this team win. The current roster, with AR & Luka playing insane basketball, won't survive the West, IMO. They need a 3rd option, and Lebron can fit in with this roster because of his pass-first mentality. Even with Lebron, I'm not sure we have the defense to survive the West.

LeBron to Cleveland to finish his career? That would seem to make the most sense. He's from Ohio, he started his career in Ohio, and so he could finish his career in Ohio

Make it so, Dan Gilbert!
