NBA- OU players and general (this thread only)

Bradley Beal has suffered a hip fracture. It will cost him the entire season. Clippers are already struggling and now this.

Thunder are probably gonna get the Clippers pick.

Thunder are looking good early on vs the Lakers. Reaves finally scored at the end of the first quarter but OKC way up.

Thunder still don't have JDub back. Dort's been out a few games. Wiggins may not be back a couple weeks. Yet they just blow everyone out.

Thunder shut down Steph last night....but he goes for 46 tonight against SA. On a B2B, they then shut down both Luka and Reaves tonight. And doing it without two starters and a top rotation guy. I don't put too much stock into early season games.....they are almost quasi-exhibition games with all of the load management and stars that sit, but this OKC team doesn't seem to have lost any of its edge from last year. They look like a machine once again.

I dumped to much money to sit courtside, and my Lakers laid an egg. The Thunder defense is very good!!

Sorry buddy. The weird thing about the Lakers is I used to love them in the 80s.....showtime with Magic, Kareem, Worthy, Cooper, Kurt Rambis, etc. But for some strange reason, I never liked Kobe (likely because I was a Jordan fan and hated the comparison) and didn't care for Shaq either....I simply grew to despise and root against those Laker teams. I moved to DFW in 2000 and eventually became somewhat of a Mavs fan (loved Dirk, Jet Terry, Finley, etc.), but when OKC got a team....I kinda shifted my allegiance around to them in 2012. Plus, I've never really liked Luka.....he is a tremendous player, but I've always loathed guys who b!tch and whine after every call (or noncall). And now he is with the Lakers. I absolutely love Reaves though.

Sorry for the history lesson, but I do think the Lakers have very good pieces to build around....obviously (Luka, Reaves, Hachimura, Knecht, and the white Euro kid). But they don't have a true PG/facilitator, they are slow, and need some type of inside presence. Ayton, while quite talented, would drive me crazy as a Laker fan because at times, he doesn't play hard or hustle. One other thing to be aware of is when Reaves becomes a FA, I think San Antonio is coming after him. They have money to spend and they are building something down there. I hope he doesn't end up there because I can't stand SA either....lol.
