NBA- OU players and general (this thread only)

To my fellow Lakers fans like Boulder and JMizzy, what are your impressions of the Rockets series so far? I honestly didn't think we would win more than a game or two this series, so I'm shocked. Luke Kennard has been playing like (biting my tongue here) Austin Reaves. And what's with Marcus Smart hitting 5-7 on 3-pointers!? I really don't think the Lakers could have possibly played better so I'm not going to get too excited here. It also helps that Kevin Durant missed Game 1 and is clearly not himself. Still, I have to admit to being very pleasantly surprised. Also, if we win the series, is there any chance Doncic or Reaves could play against (I'm assuming) OKC?

the rockets are so so so so so bad on offense ..

i would expect smart to not have a shooting game like that again .. and for the rockets to win at least 1 in houston .. but i do think the Lakers can win this series ..

unfortunately even with AR and luca i don't think they have much of a chance vs OKC

It's been really fun to watch. I know people love to dump on LeBron, but he is playing out of his mind at 41. The way he & Kennard are working together has been beautiful. I also feel like JJ Reddick is giving a master class to Houston's clown of a coach. The game plan was perfect because KD was neutralized, and Houston doesn't have great shooters. They look disorganized and mostly play one-on-one. I also saw them screaming at each other on the bench last night.

With that said, I would be shocked if Houston doesn't play much better at home. LA needs to steal one there. I listened to the post-game guys last night, and they said it's possible Luka will be back in Houston, and AR possibly by the end of the series. I love the way the ball is moving, and the guys who should be shooting the most are doing so. Fully loaded I don't see us beating OKC. Smart & Kennard would both need to play out of their minds.

I hate bron but they are playing a lot better without Luka. Ar back would help them.

No shot at OKC imo

Kennard cpupd play for every team in the nba.

OKC is a different animal but any team with lebron, luka, and AR has a chance. Not likely but I wouldn't get over confident

How... they are playing team basketball and have looked better

I know in theory they are better with a top 10 player in the world. Just saying the way they are playing rn
when they went on the run to get all the way up to the 3 seed it was because of Luca and AR with Lebron playing 3rd fiddle ..

that is why they were good this year ..

just because houston is BAD doesn't mean the Lakers are playing better now ..

Also, had Luka and AR not gotten injured, the Lakers would have held on to the #3 seed and had a legit chance to beat both Minnesota and San Antonio. At the end of the day, it will take a monumental effort for any team in the West (or East) to knock off OKC.
