NCAA clears KU's De Sousa

They are always a couple bounces away from not winning the conference. Whether it’s the refs or just pure choke jobs by their opponents, Lady Luck has always been on their side during conference play. The schedule sets up well for them if they get Preston back for their tougher part of the schedule. It will take a Herculean effort for a team to finally unseat them. Some team will have to take it from their cold, dead hands. Please let it be us!

was just informed by a friend that he got me a ticket to the OU @ KU game... I’ll be dressed in my crimson in the student section... I hope I get to witness some of that “Herculean” effort!

If someone doesn’t knock KU from the throne this year it probably isn’t going to happen for a while still. Even with all their problems they’re still squeaking out victories and tied for 1sf in Big 12 play. Hoping this is the year for OU to finally get that W @ Phog and win the big 12 but my main concern is Trae hitting that freshman wall.

I get really frustrated with KU winning the Big 12 year-in and year-out, but then I remind myself that every other Big 12 fan base likely has the same conversation annually about OU and football, and that makes my anger subside a bit.

See, I disagree. In football, when other programs have had their "career" years and OU is down a bit, they've won the conference. K-State, Baylor, Okie State all got a Big XII championship when we weren't as good as usual. We win it like 50% of the time, but other teams still at least have a shot.

In hoops, even when other teams in the league have had great seasons, they still dont' take down KU for the conference crown.

Yes. KU is always going to have the path to Big 12 title and someone has to take it away. You only need two superstars and they tend to recruit that every year. They have also been helped by no tie breaker and by Blake Griffin’s concussion. But if it is to be done this is the year to do it. I still think they will need to lose at least one more home game or they will manage a tie again.
