Jelon Hornbeak and monmouth with a good chance to knock off Notre Dame. Up 8 with 5 minutes left, Jelon has 12.

Good for Jelon. I am sorry thing didn't work out for him at OU, but he was a good player. Glad he is having success and getting to play the roll he wanted.

Really happy for Jelon. Does anybody know why he transferred from OU? I found it odd that he ended up at monmouth...

Another Dallas area player was at Monmouth...my understanding is it was a playing time issue.

Wasn't going to play into here with Woodard and cousins, joined a friend at Monmouth, gets to play the point.

I am just really surprised he would go to Monmouth. SMU? I could see. UTA? Close to home at least. But Monmouth....he seems too good for Monmouth.

Maybe it really was just due to wanting to be a point guard.

I had that game on in the background before our game came on. Wish I would have paid more attention. I always liked Jelon's game.

Monmouth has already beaten USC, UCLA, and Notre Dame, and damn near beat Dayton. JeLon is playing okay, and only getting 21 minutes again, but looks like he's on a very good team.

Monmouth is putting together a nice OOC resume, however, they are probably still going to have to win the MAAC to make the tournament. They have one more opportunity for a good out of conference win (Georgetown). Iona is the other good team in the MAAC and it will be those two battling it out for the conference championship. Unfortunately for Monmouth, the rest of that league is so bad that they run the risk of a damaging loss every time that they take the court outside of Iona.
