What does LNC seat?

That is a pretty nice looking place.

I think seating capacity of LNC is 12,000.

Yeah, this should be nice. I'm pretty sure the city of Lincoln/taxpayers funded construction of this just as they did for the baseball/softball complex a few years ago. The baseball facility was to also be used by minor league team located in Lincoln.

Looks really nice. Too much seating though, there's no way we'd fill that. Would like a bit smaller and more compact to maximize the attendance and crowd noise. Of course, if we get back to winning consistently, the crowds will come a bit more. But 15,000, at least for OU, is just too much IMO. I imagine this isn't just for the Nebraska team, but may also be used by the city?

I'm also pretty sure they've sold out every home game for the year and did so a couple of months ago. I think it is capable of converting to ice hockey and NU is going to add hockey as sport so to fit in better with B1G schools.

Wait, Nebraska has sold out 15k seats for basketball? Am I missing something? Their program is garbage..

Build it and they will come? Maybe they put it in the middle of cornfield after hearing strange voices as they 'husked...

The $179 million arena is the centerpiece of the West Haymarket Development project, which will include hotels, restaurants, parking and shopping located a few blocks from the university campus.

Miles is charged with leading the men's program out of the doldrums. The Huskers haven't won or shared a conference regular-season title since 1950. They have never won a game in the NCAA tournament in six appearances, with their most recent one in 1998.

Though they finished with a losing record, Nebraska was competitive against teams in the upper half of the Big Ten late in the season and won a game in the conference tournament.

"We were within striking distance of top-10 teams," Boehm said. "Our fans are knowledgeable enough to know something good is about to happen. They're jumping on board and seeing the product is getting better."

Is it going to be used for women's volleyball? I wouldn't be surprised if their women's vb team out draws men's bb and women's bb.

Might be the angle of the shot, but that arena seems....cavernous. Nice looking, but no thanks!

Wow. Nebraska has never won an NCAA tournament game? Not that they've ever been great, but when I was in school back in the Eric Piatkowski days I remembered them having some decent teams. Obviously I'm remembering that wrong. You'd think they would have won at least one game before.

I'm pretty sure their volleyball team is moving from facility similar to McCasland Fieldhouse to the Devaney Center (where the basketball teams are moving from). Their volleyball played in 6 or 7 thousand seat fieldhouse (and always sold out) and now will be in 13,000 seat Devaney Center.

The LNC renovation plans can't come soon enough. A trash team like NU has a brand new arena and we have LNC. So frustrating.
