New Coach

We should pursue Fred Hoiberg imo. He's a good coach. I cannot imagine that nebraska would be considered a better job, even with how low our stock is right now (and even with him being born in Lincoln). Recruiting wise, being next to tejas > whatever is next to nebraska (altho they are closer to chicago). Nebraska is still trying to get their football program stable so I imagine they are much more focused on that than their basketball program (surely, worse than we neglect the bball team, surely, right? Ugh).
Yes!

I was begging him for more but there isn't anything yet bc it's still too early but makes me hopeful that this is bm's swan song here.

Also another meeting setup to discuss some nil law Stitt passed i guess. Supposedly gonna free up a lot of money [for football lol]
Stitt issued an executive order allowing donations to athletic departments at OK schools to be channeled directly from the athletic department to the collective. Up until now, the collective had to raise $ separately from the athletic department.

As long as it's not state $ (of which the AD receives none), the AD can now channel private donations into the NIL collective.

More money for NIL, channeled directly from the athletic department.

You hearing that it commenting on what I posted?

Yikes.. Google says it's still reportedly 6.5 mil. Disgusting. Hopefully it goes down after this season another 4 mill (which is how much it down from 10.5ish last year supposedly)
Maybe instead of an NIL fund, we could get a CW Moser fund and everyone could chip in to cover the buyout. :)

Just a comment. I know nothing.

But, if a job in the Valley opens up, Porter would do well to take it.

Think he would resign after this season? Maybe take another job?
Hoping so.. removes a firing from his resume. Best for both parties.

Go back to Depaul or some Chicago school and secure another 3-5 years contract (job security) and leave us alone

I think it's unlikely unless another school offers him a salary close to what OU is paying him. I understand wanting to save face and not be fired, but if resigning would cost you a lot of money in the form of the buyout, I think most coaches would swallow their pride. We can always hope, though!

Like, if you were in his spot, and you could stay here to get fired for $10million or go to another school and toil away for 5 years to make $10M, what would you do?

If you don’t mind me asking who is BMD? Thsnks

Pass the plate for JoeC as well. He has won two games, Bob Stoops and the new women's bball coach, and lost the rest he actually had work to do. Kelvin, Capel, Kruger last four years, Sherry’s last years, Moser .. BV (if nothing changes).

Of course. I'm just hoping man
