No great mystery that poor shooting sank Sooners

Good article.

It is easy for many fans to think that the players don't work on their shots and that the coaches don't do a complete job of coaching but most college coaches are better than that.

Pledger didn't get open a lot and missed the shots he got, some of them badly. Grooms and M'Baye seemed to be a bit overwhelmed. Only Osby stayed consistent.

Can't explain how the defense deteriorated over the last few games. Since it was worse late in the games you have to suspect fatigue. With Buddy out for several games and Neal and Cousins not getting many minutes we probably got worn down a little at the end but we just weren't making the stops that we were earlier in the year.

OU had plenty of open shots and free throws that clanked out.

The whole team look to be short arming it.

Ball movement to create baskets was painful to watch.

Well, if they had plenty of open shots, the ball movement couldn't have been too bad, right?

I think we had more good looks early, when we were down. In the second half, they got better shots pretty consistently. I think we were down 6 (18-12?) just after Pledger had missed two wide open, in-rythem looks, and a SDSU player had made his 2.
