i will also say in the story Joe C is quoted in saying that this deal is an increase in money over the old deal .. (OU was making in the 7 mil range on the old 3rd Tier rights deal)

As a remote fan who has limited access (at best) to Bally Sports OK, I was so excited when I heard this news. Even when Youtube TV carried Bally (it doesn't anymore), I didn't get OU sports live; I had to watch them on a delayed basis.

it really is a great deal .. and let us watch so many live sports

I mean, for the few OU basketball games it carries and the one OU football game. Not that big of a deal in the grand scheme.

lol
if this contract was in place for this season it would have been

12 OU basketball games ..

1 football game

43 OU baseball games

33 OU softball games ..

plus more

and more money then the old 3rd tier deal ..

Don't care about the 43 OU baseball games, nor the OU softball games. So that point is null to me.

Felt like OU B-Ball games were on ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, or even ESPNNEWS this year. Even the NIT games were on ESPN's family of networks. Feels like that every year. We'll see if it is 12 like you stated.

Most non-conference games were on Bally. Conference slate was ESPN.

Yeah, I do recall having to find an illegal stream for the Florida game. Which was a complete pain in the rectum. But if that would've been on ESPN this past year, it would've been on one of the main ESPN channels.

Why would I care about baseball or softball? So now, I have to give a damn about baseball and softball to be a true Sooner fan? How about Graduating from said institution while being in the Military? Does that help?

I truly empathize with fans who will have no choice but to pay for the new Bally streaming service if they want to watch their team. If anything, Bally should be forced to pay customers to watch, not the other way around.

I have zero problems with Bally Sports. Watch plenty of OU and STL Cardinals games on there. Hate having to watch ESPN+ thru an app.

This sucks. As bad as Bally was, I could record games and watch them later, weeks or however long I needed to wait. ESPN Plus leaves them up for like one day, maybe two if you're lucky. Plus, it's yet ANOTHER expense I now have to pay. I hate it.

So because you don’t care about all of this content then that makes it not a big deal? What about all the other folks who do like to watch this content and have been pulling their hair out trying to watch via bally? The fact is the school will be making more money while providing a much better product for the fans. It’s a pretty big deal.

I watch on my smart TV. you can get a cheap fire stick if you have an older tv and shot it up to the big screen.
