Note on OU's win total compared to last two seasons

Much more competitive in the losses too. I like the direction the team is going. Might be a couple years still before we truly get back to the level we all want, but I think we'll get there.

A lot more competitive. Three losses have been very close. One by 1 point another in OT. Really only two bad games on the season. St. Louis and Missouri. OU even hung with KU for half a game.

Excellent points.

I'm convinced that if this team had duplicated their effort Saturday night on defense in the Cincy and A&M games, those losses would be in the win column.

Hopefully, our kids know that now. I was encouraged by what we saw in the K-State game. Time will tell if that level of intensity on defense continues in the games still on our schedule?

Can we win 3 of the next 5?

I think we're more likely to lose 4 than win 3.
That said, who knows? We seem to be showing more signs of improvement. But every time I think that, something like A&M happens.

It's all about matchups for this team. The worse the guard play, the better the matchup for OU.

Note that we traded in games against Colorado and Nebraska for extra games against Iowa State, Kansas, Kansas State, and Missouri. So basically, we're going to have more wins this season despite trading in two NIT teams for 4 extra games against NCAA teams.
