Would really love to hear coach Kruger's post-game coaching around offense for this team. I'm not sure they executed the game plan -- and they certainly shot worse than they will -- but that was a team Kansas torched for 56% from the field.

I didn't feel much offensive flow in the halfcourt. That's concerning.

My biggest concern with the offense is that we didn't show an inside game. That makes us rely on the outside shot and when that fails you lose to a South Dakota State.

The new and improved Spangler didn't show up last night. Bennett is unlikely to be an inside scoring force. Lattin has possibilities. He missed the two treys but at least he is not afraid to take a shot. We need a back to the basket threat. Lattin may be the best possibility. I think Spangler is more a face up guy.

We will get offense from outside. We will get offense from penetration and we will get a lot of offense running. Just need the back to the basket game to become well rounded.

We will be improved even without Thomas on the boards and inside defense. The biggest problem with the defense last year was that we had to help too much inside leaving too much open outside. Bennett and Lattin will be quite an improvement there over Cam Clark and Neal.

Defense will be much improved. That's the key.

Shooting was off. Cousins didn't look comfortable. He will be fine. I loved Jelon from Day One, but I think Walker is an upgrade over him.

Agree on all except I think we will get some post offense out of Spangler.

Boy did last night make it clear how much this team needs Thomas to really take the next step.

We'll be a nice team without him, but could be a really, really good team with him.
