Ohio State rented out the LNC for a pep rally Saturday

Meh. Florida State rented out a building on their campus to OU for the Boomer Bash for the game in Tallahassee in 2011. It's no big deal.

One of the alumni big wigs said OU rents them out all the time for big games. I guess it's more common than I've heard of, so I'm cool
With it now.

Tweet from Toby Rowland:

"Only 800 people & very common. We get same courtesy on road. We'll have something similar next year in Columbus."

If ESPN is really blasting us for this, that's just ridiculous.

ESPiN needs a good story and anything negative against OU fills the bill!

Based on the initial reports, I'd envisioned that they'd rented and sold it out for a 12,000 fan rally for the Ohio State fans. That didn't sit well with me initially. I'm all for the "gracious hospitality to our guests" thing, but there are limits.

Now that I know more of the facts, this is decidedly not a big deal. And if anything, unless they have their own dedicated shuttle, the tOSU fans who attend will discover that getting from the LNC to GFMS on game day is not the holiday they heard it was.
