Just sat down from getting ready for Christmas to plan the rest of my week. Got tickets for the OHIO game on Saturday. I looked them up and saw that they basically return their entire team from last year.

Last year they won 29 games and lost to UNC in the NCAA tourney.
Last year we won 15 games and obviously didnt play in the postseason.

Who SHOULD be favored in this game??

I'm certainly not a line maker by trade. But, I would guess that Ohio might come as an about 3 pt. favorite.

Look at Ohio's performance this season.

Losses to Winthrop, UMASS, and Robert Morris.

Blown out by a very, very average Memphis team (the same Memphis team that almost lost to Lipscomb the other night).

We should be favored.

Same players, different coach. Definitely not the same team.

That said, they did lose to Robert Morris in the non-conference portion of last year, as well. I wouldn't expect to roll through them.

Oklahoma will be favored, but I think Ohio wins easily. The bobcat defense will completely shut us down. OU is an awful shooting team, and it will only get worse against a good defense.

Can't argue. OU doesn't seem to have much of a home court advantage. And if they do have a good defense, that doesn't bode well for our currently anemic offense.

I think it's hard for anybody to have a good strong prediction on this game. Either team could win IMO. If we were at OHIO, I would think it would be tough, but in Norman, who knows.

We do have the 4 highest ranked recruits in Pledger, Fitz, Clark and Osby. And they are all upper classmen now. So it's not like they have all the experience and we dont. And its not like we have no talent either.

But they did win nearly twice as many games as us last year so who knows.

The point about them having a different coach is a good one. Hard to know if they will win 25 games this year and go back to the NCAA tourney or drop off and have a mediocre season.

It is a good thing that I'm not a line maker by trade. It looks like OU opened as a 2 pt. favorite and may have moved out to 3 1/2.
