The thing I liked about Trae's game last night was he never tried to force anything. He took what was available.

Trae doesn't have a lot of help with this team right now, once big 12 starts OU will have to find other guys or they will struggle big time.

We are not near the team we will be once Doolittle gets back. One thing that concerns me though is McGusty. Not sure if something is going on here or not...but he just isn't having near the impact I thought he would. His minutes have got to increase imo!!

oops...started a thread about him...looked VERY DISINTERESTED...course going from starter (even on a crappy team) to maybe 10 min? Pretty sure he is in a mental funk over that.

He'll be fine. It's obvious he didn't put in as much work as James or Shepard in the off-season, and it's showing.

Also, Lon is really working out his lineup as much as possible early in the season for the long haul. Manek played terrible last night defensively. AWFUL. Freeman played much better ... but coach knew Manek needs some run to get his legs and find some rhythm -- and to get some tape to evaluate.

He's much more comfortable with what he's getting from guys like Freeman, McGusty, Shepard, etc.

I mean, Lazenby got 8 minutes last night. Coach is just trying to get as much run for guys as possible because we don't have many true cupcakes on our schedule this year.
