I don't disagree. The Pac-10 stinks. That's why I've been against KU going there. I don't know what so many people around here are in love with the Pac-10 for. If I was OU and could look at going to the SEC or the Big 10...I'd go in a heartbeat over the crappy Pac-10.

Since most of the SEC is geographically and culturally related to the old Confederacy, the SEC chant has become the new rebel yell. This is peculiar to the southeast. I doubt if any other region in the US has such a cohesive background.

OU is in a good situation in the Big 12... the situation isnt as good in the SEC or Pac-16.

The tv deal is going to be different.... and who cares. OU gets pretty much first pick at who they want in football. They have sent a whole team to the NFL in the past 3 years. Everyone in most of the country see's them play on ABC every week.

That was by no means "coach speak" by Stoops. You could tell he was genuinely excited about it. He came out and made his comments before people started reporting (apparently erroneously) that it was a "done deal".
