Someone get the defender something to clean up with

he could have finished that dunk stronger and the defender obviously didn't jump as high as he could have. Impressive, but nothing special.

Should have been an offensive foul on his off hand, or an offensive goal tend for grabbing the rim with his off hand as well. But Referees don't make those calls anymore. That said, Monster dunk for a kid who is 5'8"!

Oh no doubt, there are a lot of 5'8 guys going down the lane and dunking over people.

FYI, the guy he dunked on was 5 star Tony Mitchell, also headed to Mizzou (that's what the staredown was for... had to let his future teammate know about it).

That just as easily could have been a foul on the defender. He wasn't straight up and down (arm was reached out), so the contact could've been called on him. That is a good no-call.

Looked like that was in the TABC All-Star game.

so do we just make assumptions that everyone is a recruiting guru, or do I have to do research on every youtube video before I post? Didn't realize he was as tall as me, still though, impressive, nothing special.

No, but we do make the assumption that you can read what the video says.

What does it take for a 5-8 point guard to do in a game to impress you?

Dude that was sick. I'm anxious to see what Pressey does in college.

Mizzou is rock solid at point guard with Mike Dixon and Phil Pressey.

Wear orange.

Exactly. If that were keiton page or Ray penn, it would be his wallpaper. I have a friend who is 40 and 5'7 and dunks to this day. I'm still as impressed with someone so small with that athleticism getting off the ground like that.

You usually don't see that kind of dunk when there's no defender. For instance, if Pressey were in open court he may be just clearing the rim but by having a defender to ride up on he can get an extra 8" to 12" lift. That's one of the reasons I wasn't overly impressed with Willie Warren tea-bagging Xavier Henry.
You could see Warren stepping on Henry's knees.
