On a brighter note...(standings)

I didn't say he "destroyed" 2 programs - another poster did. In fact, I said "destroying" was a strong word to use. I, in fact, took up for KS somewhat in my response. BTW, if that was your intent...post it on that thread.

And this thread has NOTHING to do with the job JC has done...more about how other teams suck as bad as we do and didn't expect to.

That's a novel approach...:clap

My bad...I apologize for getting that confused.

As far as my bringing up the job Jeff has done...it was in part to make my point. So, it was a little wordy, but that's just me. I was meant to be a lawyer. :ez-laugh:

This adds very little to the discussion, but, Neysmith is shooting 20% from the FT line this season. 20%.

I've watched Auburn a few times this year and I don't see any way Neysmith makes us any better. I also have to question why Capel recruited him in the first place...
Maybe, just maybe, and I know this isn't an excuse (although Neysmith was regarded as a decent player by most scouting services), he was attempting to get on the big guy that was on Neysmith's high school team. The name escapes me, but I think he went to Georgia Tech or Wake Forest and was a pretty good player.

Neysmith really? Hahahahahaha. The guy is shooting 20% from the free throw line and is a back up guard on one of the worst teams in a BCS conference.

Auburn is no worse than us.

Auburn is no worse than us.

The Big 12 is better than the SEC overall and we have 4 conference wins, they have 2. We would beat them at home and win in Auburn. If we can win at Iowa St we can surely defeat them.

Auburn scored 6 points in the first half against LSU a couple weeks back.

You're not alone in your thoughts.

I have given Capel credit a number of times for bringing in more high-profile recruits since he came than any coach before him. The fact that all of them didn't work out the way we hoped is beside the point. But he has also brought in a few players who left me scratching my head in disbelief. Coach clealy has a lot to learn about evaluating talent as well as character.

By all accounts, he got the character part right this season. Now, if we can move a step or two forward on talent, we may be on our way back to where we were two years ago. Sure hope so.

Oh, my goodness, you guys are serious. Six points in a half? How is that possible? That's the kind of halftime point total one would expect in a pre-schooler's game, not college players. How embarrassing!

yet they followed it up by scoring in the 40s in the second half

I watched most of the game, believe it or not Auburn was within 5 points with 2 minutes left in the game after being down 32-6 at half.

LSU is as bad as Auburn.
