So excited to see Jacob Groves continue to grow. I think he has the highest ceiling as a player on this current roster.

Close for sure but Jacob worked with the outside guys. My biggest take is SO MUCH STRUCTURE! A lot of detail being covered in practice especially defense, everyone is new to his system. Make a mistake/foul, run a lap. Your group loses the shooting drill, push ups. Had to leave before the scrimmaging.

He certainly looks to be the quickest player on the floor. Will be interesting to see if that gets him on the floor this year much or if he's in a better position next year.

I don’t see how Moser can keep Mason off of the floor! He averaged 44% (48 of 109) from deep last year, not to mention his 22+ ppg average to go along with 4 rebs, 4 assists and 1.5 steals per game. If this team needs scorers, well, there you go! Alston can also play the one or the two, plus he has the reputation of being a good defender.

Maybe Bob P. was onto something when he called Alston the most exciting player on the floor! I don’t think he’ll start, but I wouldn’t bet against him getting starter minutes by conference time.
