OSU at OU

Best all around game I ever seen Campbell play. Couldn't have come at better time with OSU clamping down on Ellenberg. Edwards continues to play well too.

I rather expected this, but not from whom it came. I am not surprised that Griffin and Sharane played well, although they were better than I had hoped. But, many of the key plays that turned this game were made by Carter, Wyatt, and Edwards. Several times when we were standing around, Carter made something happen. Wyatt made some good plays, and her three gave us the early lead at about 26-24, which we promptly blew. There is no way that I would have projected Edwards scoring eight points.

Morgan had a bad game. She is only credited with three turnovers, all of which were really bad turnovers that helped OSU stay in the game. She actually had a fourth with about fifty seconds left, although I'm not sure that she got credit for the turnover. In her defense, that foul when Bias stole it and charged into Morgan should have been on Bias---clearly.

The freshmen, none of whom were useful against K-State, were key to this game. At the end of the game, I was wanting Edwards to be in for Morgan.

Vegas almost disappeared, but she did score ten. Other than missing shots, she didn't harm us today with turnovers. That was about the quietest ten points that I can remember.

Although the heroines were Sharane and Nicole, I'm glad that we had the others today.

OSU has some talent. I'm glad that Donohue reverted back to the way she has been recently in the second half. She hurt us in the first. Where in the world did Atkins come from?

If Edwards ever realizes that with her quickness she can penetrate just about anytime she wants to, she can really help us.

Carter needs to realize she doesn't always need to get to the rim when she penetrates and just be happy with 10 ft jump shots like she did a couple of times today.

Good job by both girls today!

Donohoe is going to see Sharane in her dream tonight.

Oh, yes !! That was an amazing defensive performance against a player who is really hard to control.

At the start of the week, OSU had the No. 2 Big XII defensive stats (to Baylor) and OU hung 81 on them. I just luv Bedlam ... both teams really gave all-out effort.

Just wish the team was more consistant. :(

One thing is for sure - they are resilient.

I thought it was interesting that they called a travel on Donohue late. She travels a lot as she begins her dribble, takes two steps almost every time, as does ISU's Buckley. They never call it.

Edwards had almost disappeared from my radar screen after the preseason. What looked so promising disappeared. It has begun to return.

I'm not so sure that Sherri isn't right. Gioya does have the talent to be very good. She is beginning to put it together.

After seeing what the smaller quicker Jefferson from UConn and Bias did against Sims I like to see T'Ona get some time on her.

So with the exception of Aaryn, would somebody please tell me where this team has been? Outstanding performance by the kids today. Really proud of their toughness today. If they can put it together Monday, there could be an upset at the Loyd Noble. We need to take care of business at home from here on out.

I watched a part of the Tech game with Kansas. I don't think there were two hundred fans in the seats in Lubbock.

I thought this was Sherri's best coaching job in several games. I liked the fact we worked the ball inside a lot to Griffin and made good use of dribble penetration. I liked that we finally got away from the zone which has driven some of us crazy. I also thought Sherri used her bench well.

If OSU isn't careful, they're going to wind up with a roster of girls who weren't even BORN the last time they won in Norman (1998). It's getting pretty close to that, as is.

I think OU is now 28-3 against OSU in the past 14-15 years. I still haven't forgotten how Andrea Riley and Co. were basically coronated in the Oklahoma media as the "new women's basketball power in Oklahoma" after that one win back in '08. So I'm sure the same media people are bummed out that OU won again today.

And, FWIW, Riley never beat OU again, after that one big game she had in Stillwater.

Seeing osu live, I didn't think they were as good as their record indicates. That doesn't mean they won't beat us in Stoolwater but I just didn't think they were a Top 10 team. We played better but still have a ways to go.

Still, it would be great to send Sulkey Mulkey home Monday with a loss!

Things I do not understand
1. OU women's basketball team.
2---------1000 a whole lot of other things

I said after the Baylor/OSU game that neither was an Elite Eight team. The OU team that played Louisville or Duke would have beaten either of those teams on that night, the way that they played. We have regressed a bit. But, OSU doesn't play like a team that has the talent that they do. Donohue has not looked good, and she was a star as a freshman.

Baylor is vastly over-rated because of Sims. She is probably the best in the country not at UConn. But, she has not been shooting well this year. She is getting the benefit of some horrid favoritism in officiating. Davis is good, and she is more valuable than Sims right now if Sims isn't getting the calls. But, Baylor isn't playing as well as their record suggests.

She's also trying to master the art of "flopping"!

Sims has definitely benefited from the officials calling the games closer. Defenders are afraid to challenger her.

Our guys played today like they wanted it more than OSU - and that was good to see. Sharane was on fire and Nicole played some good D.
