I heard it on the sports report in Tulsa. Can it be true?

Cunningham will get all the headlines, but that kid they got from Canada intrigues me the most. Canada has been producing good basketball prospects lately and this kid was the Canadian player of the year.

Man, if they had a good coach, they might be a dangerous team. If only

They will be better than us. For one year at least.

That's utter insanity. It's a solid class without Cunningham, but he is the jewel.

They should redshirt Likekle even though he's a good player... He won't play much point with Cade Cunningham out there and he can't shoot worth a damn. Redshirt him and let him work on his shooting all year.

They have tons of talent for next year... #1 player in America, #1 player in Canada, Mr. Basketball from Nebraska, sharp shooting grad transfer, plus the freshman from last year (Avery Anderson, Chris Harris, Keylan and Kaleb Boone...

He will transfer in a heartbeat.

They didn't have much coming back though right? Never know how 4-5 Freshmen will handle it and I'm sure it will take them awhile to put it all together.

Returning from last year is:

Isaac likekle
Yor Anei
Avery Anderson
Chris Harris
Keylan Boone
Kaleb Boone
Hidde Roessink

Adding to that group:
Cade Cunningham (#1 player in America)
Matthew-Alexander Moncrieffe (#1 player in Canada)
Donovan Williams (Nebraska's Mr. Basketball, 4 star player)
Ferron Flavors (#1 3pt shooter in the WAC last year, grad transfer)
Rondel Walker (4 star point guard recruit)
Montreal Pena (6'9'' 200 power forward recruit out of Texas)

It's extremely talented roster. Most talent OSU has had on a single team since John Lucas, Joey Graham, Tony Allen, etc.

But no jucos, so...

Tony Allen was a good basketball player. could score the ball in college, and a very good NBA defender for a Championship Celtic team IIRC. Objectively, i liked his game.

to the topic, OU's SID routinely listed last year's recruiting class as "top 10"....without citation....so, sports talk radio maybe not carrying Oxford English Dictionary type authority or commitment to source accuracy is not too freaky to me.

A very good class, though. I saw Lundardi had the Pokes in his final bracket so OSU fans have some reason for optimism. though, t'were I a Poke fan myself (will need to shower after hitting SEND)...not sure i'd be sold on the current HC....but I used to say the same thing about Scott Drew and while i don't like the guy much or any Baylor sports....can't argue with his success.

Make no mistake, OSU is a ****-show right now, and would continue to be indefinitely had they not bought the best player money could buy. They will win low-20s, get bounced in the second round, and then sign Boynton to an extension.

I do not envy them in the slightest.

Ben Simmons couldn't overcome crappy coaching to get LSU into the tournament. I'm not ready to predict Cunningham will be able to do it.

Ben Simmons darn near beat us if not for a clutch Cousins jumper from the FT line.

They will get to the tourney but I don’t see one player (Cunningham) taking them to the top of the conference.

Even I think Lon is out of Boynton's league. He had me believing year 1, but he lost all that in the two that followed.

Simmons (14 Points 9 Boards and 5 TOs) did not almost beat OU by himself. In fact, he got whipped that day by Ryan Spangler (16 Points and 10 Boards) or at least matched before a packed arena. Buddy was the man in that game with 32 points and 8 triples. The fans gasped every time he touched the ball.

Spin it however you like, but...77-75.
