Maybe an older Wade is a better comparison. But not Wade at his prime.

I've always thought Smart was more like Andre Miller like than anyone- big, strong PG that makes others better. Good athleticism, but not elite like Wade or Westbrook- not nearly the explosiveness.

Bingo! Maybe a little better than Miller but certainly not like Wade or even Harden who blow by nba athletes at will to the rim.

Pretty accurate, IMO.

Not having Clark on their team is going to hurt. They need him back. He is an actual PG and thats y he racks up the assist in minimum playing time. They haven't looked near as good without him.

Smart needs to quit playing Hero Ball and let his teammates help out. Jacking up contested 3's and trying to beat 3 guys off the dribble looks cool when it works but it's low percentage over the long run.

Smart needs to not be sick and Clark needs to pull his head out of his ass and do what needs to be done to get back on the team.

Tough to play a rematch of a good team so quick. I expect the Cowboys to come back hungry and go on a nice winning streak...

Is Clark going to do what needs to be done to earn his way back on the team? I have no inside information on what he did, but it had to be a fairly serious offense for Travis to send him home on the next plane.

Stevie is a talented player. Hopefully, he'll come to his senses and do what is right before he screws up a promising career.

It was rumored the smoke alarm went off in his room. Someone suggested he was smoking weed. That makes sense (although they were smoking a lot of weed to set off the smoke detector). It also makes sense that OSU would be very serious about that infractions due to the recent SI article and the "weed circle". It has also been said Clark tweeted something about just quitting. Again it all makes sense because his punishment is so much more severe than it normally would be for smoking weed.

I bet this blows over in a week or so and he is back on the team. If I am correct about what happened, I think he should be back on the team. Clark is a good student (or was in high school). He is a good athlete. If all he did was smoke some weed, he made a mistake and it shouldn't ruin his life.

Looking at your upcoming schedule, that isn't saying much.

Getting kicked off your college basketball team as a true freshman, isn't "ruining his life".

It could ruin his life and it is too severe of a punishment for smoking weed. He could easily be out of school, fall into the wrong crowd and spiral out of control. Keeping the kid in a controlled environment where he is tested and given positive reinforcement is a much better approach. To me a much better approach is suspending him, making him run, providing counseling and testing him.

A huge percentage of Americans smoke weed (and I am not one of them). It isn't a very big deal. Has it ever occurred to you that one of the primary reasons weed is illegal is because the alcohol industry wants it to be illegal? In 10 years weed is going to be legal in most places. Two states already have legalized it for all purposes and many, many more have legalized it for medicinal purposes. Our country's paranoia with weed is laughable. If it is really so bad and we don't want kids using it, legalize it. Kids get weed easier than booze simply because weed is illegal.

We all know there is no way in heck he is getting kicked off the team for good, for smoking pot ONCE. Either he'll be back, it was multiple times (warnings), or it was for something else.

I also don't need a dissertation on why you think weed should be legal. Heard it before, I'm sure. I think speed limits should be higher in some areas. But I don't complain when I get got speeding and I'm given a ticket.

This is probably the best OSU team since the John Lucas - Joey Graham - Tony Allen team.

Killing everybody. Between Smart, Brown, Williams, and Forte their guard play is the best in college basketball.

Every year the same face plant. thebigOSU strikes again.

I think you're underestimating his measurables and athleticism.
That said, OU might have 5 players that are better shooters than Smart.

I might have underestimated earlier in the season. Spangler has really improved his shooting, and Neal has shown us a lot recently.

Some of us have been saying that anything less than a Final Four is under-achieving. That is what I believe at least.

Well, they are certainly underachieving this season. :facepalm

In my opinion that was a crazy criteria. OSU had no front court. Ford built half a great basketball team.

And it only looks worse in hindsight. As it turns out he might not even have half a great team.
