I read that an NCAA decision regarding OSU basketball violations is going to be announced today.

Any guesses?

No violation found as they used their time to review their findings regarding Gabe Ikard eating too much free pasta. They are amending their findings to show lack of institutional control on the part of OU.

Losing 3 scholarships over the next 3 years might be painful. Post-season ban in Cunningham's only year has to hurt some as well.

I’m sure all the people who claim that the NCAA only goes after no-name schools will claim that OSU isn’t really a big name since they aren’t a blue blood, etc. But doing this to a school that has the top recruit in the country coming in clearly shows that the narrative so many have is wrong. After all, we’ve been told by so many on this board that the NCAA only put us in the tourney in 2018 because they wanted to reap the benefits of Trae. Well, surely if that were true, they wouldn’t want to hammer OSU in their one season with Cunningham.

I can’t help but wonder if the post-season ban next year will have an affect on Cunningham’s commitment? One would think the opportunity to showcase his talent in the NCAA tournament will matter to him.

Could someone clarify for me - when it indicates they will lose 3 scholarships over the next 3 years does that mean they will only have 12 scholarship players per year over the next 3 years or 10 scholarship players per year over the next 3 years?

WOW!!! Talk about putting a TOTAL DAMPER on the upcoming season!!!

You think Cunningham will now change his tune and go play g-league or go to another school??

To me, if you are the #1 rated player in HS...it would be a total waste of time to play 1 year of college ball knowing you have a ZERO PERCENT chance to win a NC!!! This will be interesting.

I can't imagine a player of Cunningham's ability going to a school without a chance at the dance. You grow up all your life (assuming and projecting) imaginng what it would be like to go to the final four or hit a buzzer beater. now that is gone

Is that a loss of 3 scholly per year Or 1 scholly per year for 3 years?

OSU playing for the NC is a bit of a stretch.

There was a lot more on Kansas and Self on the tapes And Kansas faces more level 1 violations, so it will be interesting to see who gets hit harder.

I'll believe KU getting nailed when I see it.

As for OSU: Does Boynton get fired now, or do they let him coach this year, finish toward the bottom, and make a change after the season?
