OSU v Tulsa = not on TV?

OSU and TU play a basketball game and so few even notice?

It's not even on TV?

What happened around here?

Where have all the great recruits gone? Where have the good ones gone?

Is ORU, playing in the Outer Space Conference, the state's best chance to make it to the NCAA tournament?

What's a fan to do, adopt Kansas?

Even if the networks didn't pick it up, the local stations used to. I'm not sure that would be allowed now.

it's amazing how far basketball has fallen in this state. I'm glad we have the games on Sooner Network locally. We even had an exhibition game televised this year. I remember OSU having some games televised in recent history even games that aren't that relevant but I guess the demand just hasn't been that good the last couple years.

Actually this is a good thing for OU. Kruger and staff should point out to Woodard and Parker they will be on TV in Oklahoma if they attend OU; however, if they go to OSU, Tulsa or an out of state school it will be much less likely that their friends and family can watch them on TV. To the extent some out of state schools will be on TV, their friends and families will not be able to attend the games. Therefore, OU offers something no other school can offer.

Now if we could just get our home attendence up. I really think OU needs a push to attrack fans from Norman and Moore, particularly high school students. Make it cheap and develop a local fan base that consists of not just alumni but also 10,000 people living in Moore and Norman that did not attend OU. I don't care if they let the high school kids in for $1.00. If they attend 20-40 games during their years in high school, 25% of them will probably become long term fans even if they don't go to college or go somewhere other than OU. You can not convince that 10 years of this would not create 5,000 fans in the area that are interested in attending games even though they did not attend OU.

I wonder if TU and OSU just aren't investing in the TV operation as much as OU is. The broadcast quality, IMHO, has been on the rise for OU events that are on the little Cox channels as well as FSN and others. Perhaps our drive to get our own Bevo TV is actually accomplishing something?

Just 3 games this year not on tv and one is against div II Langston. Not too bad, though an instate game like this should be on tv. Terrible game though, so not a bad thing it wasn't televised.

Edit* actually tech at home is not on tv and two of our televised games so far were just espn 3

You can't let charge non-students less than OU students.
