This greatly reduces OSU's Big 12 title hopes. OSU will still be good but this eliminates any possibility of a really speacial season.
I wouldn't be so sure of that. I'm betting the other players will step up their game to make up for losing Cobbins. His defense in the middle will be missed the most.
Is this one of those times that if you can't say something nice, then you shouldn't say anything? Well, OK.
I don't think you will see a difference between Cobbins and Murphy, but there isn't anyone to replace Murphy off the bench. Baylor's front line will have a field day with OSU's bench.
It took Williams and Olukemi getting hurt last year for Ford to be forced to use Jurick. And I thought they looked better with those guys out and Jurick in then when Williams came back and Jurick's minutes went way down. Gaskins or Soucek might be a Jurick..a guy that could contribute if given the opportunity.
Feel bad for the kid, but it's about time somebody other than OU starts losing some players to injuries. The injury bug, in both football and basketball, and been terrible to OU in recent seasons.
They have been hot recently too with Olekemi and Williams in recent seasons.
Yep, Jurick also sat out a year with a ruptured Achilles, Cobbins missed time last year with shoulder problems, and Cobbins and Wiliams both took redshirts their first year at OSU because of injuries.
