OU - a&m

Kaylon and ViVi combined for 6 of 14 from the line.

I believe Maddie only scored 2 points in the second half when we needed for her to step up.

Very disappointing effort.

Rebounding? Nobody blocked out. They weren't going over the back. They didn't have to. We weren't in position to rebound. Second chance points: A&M 15 OU 6.

Kay Kay and Vivi were 7 of 16 from the field. When they are under fifty percent, we will lose. In the second half, they threw up bricks. They didn't really play smart in the second half.

T'Ona and LaNesia---do not go inside during set offenses. Neither got a shot off inside of twenty feet except on a break. Giving it to LaNesia to close out the third quarter with a three attempt? No.

Gabbi didn't play smart today.

The point that the telecasters made that the A&M point guard defined the game without scoring a single point was huge. Jones did play intelligently in the second half. Our points didn't.

Another example of why this group is n underachieving bunch. Sad, but it's obvious we don't have the best 5 on the floor. Moreover, when we can't make baskets, we start playing stupid ball.

For the life of me, I don't understand how Treece plays only a 1:30 in each half. Kay Kay fouls out because of 2 really silly, lazy fouls and another one when she was obviously tired and you knew a foul was coming. Her last foul was symbolic of the game. She made no effort to avoid it, just sort if gave up and plowed right into the A&M player.

A&M adjusted to slow our scoring under the basket in the 2nd half. They were willing to be aggressive and give the fouls. We failed to adjust and the coaches seemed at a loss. We went away from smart play. We put people on the floor who can't make a decent percentage of their shots and then let them shoot.

Enough with messing around, the 7 or 8 best players should be the only ones on the court. As good as Kay Kay can be, it is time to bring her off the bench. We need her late in games that are close. IMHO, Treece should be playing instead of Wyatt.

Jones what's the difference maker today I don't think she scored a single point.

I think Wyatt should be our 3point spark off the bench.... With Carter returning soon that will happen and should help the teams Athleticism.

I feel sure that Carter will start the next game and, you're right, we will be more athletic. Carter is better on both ends of the court than Wyatt.

Why LaNeisa took the last shot is a great question.

Until T'Ona learns to shoot, she shouldn't be out there shooting. This should be Gabbi's team. She needs to become the leader.she needs to be playing close to 40 minutes, as should Peyton and Maddie. Put them with Treece and Vivi and have Kay and Derica come off the bench.

Until we get Gioya back, I think Derica is the only choice. McKenna still has to prove herself. But, she played eight minutes today without a rebound. Derica had three along with eleven points.

If T'Ona had just played like Jones and kept everything settled down, we probably would have won. But, she tries to do too much herself, and she doesn't really look to get it to anyone other than the post or LaNesia. I'm reminded of the old Bill McGraw adage about why he didn't start a rookie who was hitting four hundred. "Because he is also fielding four hundred." We can't afford mistakes out of our points, and T'Ona and Gabbi made a lot of them today.

With T'Ona and LaNesia in the game, we have only two who who can score outside. Leads to crowding in the lane, and they can't play in there.

T'Ona. At the risk of drawing down much wrath, I would never let T'Ona on the floor except for a breather for Ortiz with the understanding that she was not permitted to throw thew ball into the center and she could not go inside the three point line.

Total domination. If we dont learn to rebound better we wont be second in this conference. Or third. And wont deserve to be.

This is an area in which I was disappointed in Peyton and Maddie. They played hard. Peyton wasn't hitting anything. But, she wasn't killing us with mistakes. But, they have to be the ones who provide the leadership. When we aren't blocking out, they have to jump on the team. They have to be ready to call the team out for not playing intelligently. Maddie didn't have her best day. But, she did score ten to go with seven rebounds, three blocks, and three steals. At least, she was making an effort, and she was hustling on the trap the entire game. We had some who didn't bring their focus to the second half. Might as well have been singing Christmas carols.

Exactly! Same with LaNesia.

I suspect that T'Ona and LaNesia may find themselves sitting next year behind Gabbi, Peyton, Gioya, Derica, Gileysa, and Chelsea, all of whom can handle the ball and can get a shot off occasionally. I do think T'Ona can help with relief in defensive situations, as long as she never drives inside of the three point line. If they can't develop a three-point shot, I'm not sure they can play at all next year.

We could have used Nancy tonight for rebounding.

We sure missed out on Walker. She and Williams are playmakers. Will be glad when Gioya returns to the lineup.
