Maybe not "well" but good enough. They hit a lot of outside shots with hands in there face.
Did you know that we actually outshot them from three, 14-9? They beat us overall on field goals by one. They did hit eleven more free throws than we did. Neither team shot well from the line. Rebounds, they won. We actually won the game in the field, 64-61.
One weakness this team has is, not being able to take contact and still score.
On the road, you have to outplay the home team. We didn't. We shot better from three. We hustled in the second half. We went dry for a spell in the first half. Was it 19 straight? We really lost the hustle plays during that run, and it was largely due to inexperience of those we put on the floor at that time. Oh well. They have to learn.
I don't listen to people who rip me. I'm old enough to know my own mind.
The players have to quit going brain dead in the last 3 minutes of a game. Freshmen or not.
When we were up big in the beginning of the game we should have ran with the lead.

Yep. I have already commented in this thread that I thought Sherri erred by wholesale subbing early when we had the hot hand and the 10/12 point lead. If we were gassed (I couldn't tell it on TV), then that's one thing. But it appeared that Sherri thought that our bench would sustain while giving our starters a breather. Bad decision, the game turned at that point.
Peyton was consistently late getting out to the wing. I wonder if she was thinking of the need to help Gabbi because Ortiz was COMPLETELY unable to stop Moody.
Either Peyton as to move toward the lane to make Moody have more defenders to worry about or our center has to come over and help. The center rarely helped, so Peyton was left with the task and the result was their shooters were wide open for threes. Peyton didn't close fast enough.
Bad decision on Sherri's not to adjust and put Carter on Moody, or Peyton.
