Shepherd continues to impress me. He may end up being a better version of a blend of Austin Johnson and Cousins.
Isn't he the 24 year old?One senior played last night and he went 8-14 from the field and scored 21 points. He was the difference in the game.

He's the best player on the team at this point. He's the only offensive player we have playing within himself. James is to concerned about scoring, play hard D and rebound like it means your life. Do this and the scoring will come.Quit forcing it.
You've obviously forgotten that Jordan Woodard plays for OU.
Nope.
Lol 4th or 5th is still a stretch. I love what he has brought, he's better than I expected right away. But watch both ends of the court.
I like his offensive game and the way Shep runs the point, but he does get abused at times on defense. An offseason in the weight room will do wonders for him. His play has been the biggest positive for me so far this season.
I'm still waiting for McGusty to break out. I think he will surprise some people this season.
I've actually watched him pretty closely that last two games and I haven't seen really any horrible defensive issues. Yes, he's a pick chicken physically. But if you want to talk getting abused, Christian James and Buford would fit that category more from what I've seen. He actually has had some steals and blocks. And he seems to have the quickness to stay in front of guys fairly well. We should probably withhold judgement on his D until we get more of a sample. But yes, an offseason in the weightroom will help tremendously. Wish he'd had more minutes before the Big 12 grinder, i'll bet Lon in hindsight feels the same.
I didn't get to watch yesterday but against Memphis everyone's guy was left open bc shepherd would get left. I agree Buford is bad too but James is way ahead of shepherd defensively.
