Ou Baylor

For as bad a shooter as everyone thinks Harmon is, and as good a shooter everyone thinks reeves is, Reaves has hit 3 more threes on 34 more attempts on the year

I’m going with 6/6 rest way out...7/5 or 5/7 as well..

Team had pretty good effort, still had some time of 1:1 ball... some stagnant offense trying force a pass that wasn’t there... but had a chance.

We’ll see

I would be thrilled with 7-5 rest of the way in conference, and even be happy with 6-6. Either would be the best conference record since ‘16. Considering our Big XII road record the last 3 years, .500 would be nice.

6-6 and a win Saturday puts us at 19-12 headed to postseason.

Fitting. Fight all the way back and Reaves goes for the glory himself and chucks an off balance 3. Manek was WIDE ASS OPEN at the top of the key. Selfish play costs us chance to upset #1.

I hate silver linings but overall that was an incredible effort and fight back from the guys tonight. No one around here expects us to win every game, but at least be competitive. We got that tonight.

It was the right shot to take.

It was the right shot to take.

I'll have to watch the last play again.... I still think the right play was Harmon going to the rim... One guy backpedaling, he would have gotten fouled at a bare minimum in that situation... Way better odds of a foul in that situation than a 20 percent shooter doing what he did.

Given the effort we saw tonight....I am encouraged. Now the question is can this team bring that effort and level of intensity on a consistent basis. The good news is that the bottom of the Big 12 isn't very good this year. So there will be some road games for the taking. But it will be tough to get a scalp against KU, Baylor or WV (twice), still I'm encouraged by the energy tonight....hope they can build on it.

Man what a hard fought game, great defense, & resiliency. Thought the bench played with energy & did good things, some bad obviously against #1 on the road. Offense in the 2nd half was much better. LK drew up some nice stuff, don’t know how you can say he didn’t this game (watch the play where Manek’s 3 was called off).

Off rebounds hurt but the guards need to help a lot more, I consistently saw Bienemy mix it up but that’s it. AR & Doolittle couldn’t hit, but other than 2 shots I though Doolittle had good looks. AR needs to spot up shoot like Manek, he pumps & tries to get in the lane way too much & turns down decent looks. Williams had back to back bad plays but overall I thought he played well.

Hindsight is 20-20, but if Reeves stops and makes a pump fake he's 1000% getting three FT's. Still, it was a decent enough look, it just didn't go down.

It was the right shot to take.

I disagree. Manek was wide open. But we can argue that forever. Reaves always seems out of control. He rushed the shot and it was an off balance falling away 3 that missed. We had time to find manek at the top of the key on the break

Is a 25% 3 point shooter the right guy taking it though?

With 3 seconds left on a solid look? Absolutely you shoot that every time, if you turn it down who knows what look is going to be there.

Seriously doubt that call would be made & if I remember correctly it was a big man under the rim.

It's interesting to note that Baylor had 14 second-chance points and OU had 12 (OU would have had 14, but for Manek's dunk being waved off).

Our best 3 point shooter at the top of the key...

How would he have known that? You want him to bring the ball out with the clock about to expire? It was a fast break with 3 seconds left & he got a good look.

I don’t want him pump faking looking for a foul ever again honestly.

I'm not a fan of Austin Reaves (clearly), but that last shot was definitely the correct call. You've got an open look to win the game with less than 5 seconds, you don't pass it up. Maybe Harmon could have done something else with the ball, but when he passed it to Austin the shot needed to go up.
