OU cracks Coaches Poll Top 25/15th in RPI

That RPI is really nice. I'm sure TCU and Tech will hurt it a bit even if we win, but as tough as the Big 12 we have a really good shot of being a top 25 RPI team at the end of the season.

Maybe even more importantly, Lunardi's Bracket Math moved OU off the bubble completely (meaning we are more than 75% assured of making the tournament). Just two weeks ago, we were one of last teams in.

I know there is a long way to go, but this type of movement is great for the way the program is talked about over the next two months.

Will be interesting to see how the team handles a little success this week while not playing the role of underdog.

Will be interesting to see how this team handles a road game in which they should win fairly easily (at Tech). We lost there 2 years ago then last year we lost at TCU. I'm ready to see us win the road games we should win and Saturday is a good start for that goal.

Good point, Boog. But I'm hopeful we won't implode in those situations this season. It's got to be encouraging that we're 1-1 on the road so far in conference play. We handled the whorns at their place and we probably should have beaten K-State on the Wildcats' home court. And both of those are much better teams than Tech and TCU.

We'll know more in a few days.

2-1. Hopefully you didn't forget the Baylor game so soon.

How can Anyone vote Baylor ahead of OU ? They should have their vote taken away. Both teams with 4 losses and OU just beat them on their home floor.

I agree and noticed that as well. I think they are still living off beating the name of Kentucky which is a good win but it is more of winning against a name than winning against a great team.

Not to mention they got worked pretty good by tech last week also. Only one spot, but it doesn't make much sense. Oh well, let's just take care of business and it will work itself out.

Since Scott Drew is a voter, I wonder if the other coaches vote for one of their own.

All the smack talk about Baylor, I'd like to see them beat Kansas tonight.

There were lots of losers last night --- the Ohio State to freakin' Nebraska, UNC to fellow unranked UVA, Villanova got three'd by Creighton... wow.

A good reminder to our guys to show up tonight, because if not, you, too, can get TCU'd like KU did last season
