Good dealhttp://collegebasketball.ap.org/poll
I believe that's last week's (Feb. 15) poll.
Big 12 = respect. OU loses and doesn't drop. WV loses twice last week and only drops 4 spots. Texas gets blown out at home and only drops a spot. Baylor shoots up 6 places after two good wins. The Big 12 is a boss.
Really hope they don't lay an egg this year in March. Hopefully We can have OU, KU, WVU, ISU, and Baylor/Texas all win a game at least and get them to the second weekend.
A single elimination tournament should do nothing to prove or disprove the validity of season long numbers and metrics (Kenpom, etc). Unfortunately, perception is reality and if you're conference has some good teams that play bad in a "one and done" tournament, it somehow reflects poorly on your conference....when it shouldn't.
And that's not just nationally, posters on this board used it to diminish what teams in the big 12 accomplished last yearI agree, but it's how our conference is perceived at the end of the year.

Looking at the bracketology, duke is a 4 seed in our region. If duke ends up being a 4 or 5 seed in our region and they get Jefferson back...that's basically getting an additional 1 or 2 seed in our region that we'll have to face in the sweet 16.
So, we're supposed to be afraid of playing Duke?
The Dookies put on their pants one leg at a time, same as us.
I guess the "clap" emoticon doesn't work anymore...
