OU now ranked #3 in the Coaches Poll

Freaking awesome!



This may be a weird thing to gripe about ...but...how the heck is ISU above us? They were one miracle shot away from being beat by Iowa...
 
OU-ISU on Jan. 2 in Norman could be #1 vs. #2 matchup. Oh mama.

I hope both teams remain undefeated until we play them in January and then OU runs them off the court in Norman.

We play them in Ames on Jan. 18th. Two of our first six B12 games are against ISU, and in between we play KU in Lawrence and OSU in Stillwater. Tough start to conference play.
 
That's right, Ryan -- the Sooners are no. 3 in both polls!

When was the last top 5 matchup at the LNC? (Edit---looks like it was maybe #4 OU vs. #5 UT in 2003. These things don't come around every day.)

On another note, I think it was a major fail by the conference to schedule one of the marquee games on January 2 in direct competition with college bowl games and NFL week 17 for viewership/attention. Shows a complete lack of foresight/awareness.

Fortunately, there are no NFL games on Saturday, January 2, and the only bowl game going on at the same time as ISU/OU will be Oregon vs. TCU in the Alamo Bowl, which kicks off 15 min. before our tip.
 
Iowa State will have to win at Cincinnati next week, which is no easy task.
 
Hmmmmm....OU is # 3 and Duke is what????? # 7 ????? Wonder how that happened???? Thank you, Coach Krueger for coming to OU !!!!!!
