OU, OSU, UT, TT, CU and A&M to the Pac 10?

Texas Tech has nothing to do with A&M and Texas. Hell Tech might as well be in New Mexico

They have as much to do with a&m and UT as oSu does with us. The State of Texas Legislators will want to keep the schools together like Oklahoma wants to keep OU and oSu together

I don't think Tech's political clout in Texas is analogous to OSU's political clout in Oklahoma.

News conference pushed to Friday

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- After daylong discussions regarding the possible breakup of the Big 12, a scheduled news conference was abruptly canceled, fueling speculation that the 12 schools are far from agreement.

A short time earlier, Oklahoma athletic director Joe Castiglione had indicated the member schools did not reach the unity that many had hoped these meetings would achieve.

con't

Interesting comments from Colorado's athletic director.

Colorado athletic director Mike Bohn said he and others had been led to believe the Pac-10 was on the verge of issuing invitations to six members of the Big 12.

"The longer that we were together in Kansas City it appeared that that rumor or speculation did have some validity to it," Bohn told the Boulder Daily Camera.

Kansas would be perfect for C-USA.

They would become huge rivals with Tulsa if that were to happen. The game could be played in Wichita and they could split the arena 50-50. It would be huge and ESPN would probably create "Big Sunday" just to feature a game like that. Or it could be the 4 p.m. game on Big Monday.

Not even close.

Texas Tech is a joke of a university.
I'm not saying Oklahoma State is much better academically, but most Texans look down on Tech more than most Oklahomans look down on OSU.

Except that you know as well as I do that it won't ever happen. KU is a top 5 basketball school and member of AAU. Oh and if they are smart will keep Perkins around at least until the reallignment gets settled. The guy some how got them the Orange Bowl and has been through this process before with UConn. This isn't a time a school should be looking for a new AD.

The worst KU will do is the Big East when a Rutgers/Pitt leaves.

My sources are telling me KU will dominate in the C-USA. It doesn't make sense for the PAC-10 to take OSU over KU. (travel cost?) If aTm bulks, KU can fill their slot.

Can KU go somewhere without KSU?

It's not like the travel for the Oklahoma or Texas schools are any closer to the PAC 10. That's why the side with the Big 12 schools are all relatively close together. We would only have 1 or two conference games a year where we really travel out west.

No A&M and Texas are joined at the hip. Texas Tech isn't really with those 2 at all because they are in the middle of nowhere in the panhandle of Texas. It is almost like saying lets put OU and Panhandle State in the same conference over Nebraska. WHY?

LOL, line of the decade.

This isn't about Missouri. Nobody cares about Missouri. Stay, go, drop football, get mad all over again that the Insight Bowl invited Iowa State. Doesn't matter. If only Missouri leaves the Big 12, the league is fine. Heck, the league thrives.

And note to Mizzou fans this isn't some "arrogant gawk" saying this. This is how the world feels about Mizzou.

This is all over the radio in Phoenix today. Obviously, living in Scottsdale, this would thrill me if it happened.

They are saying ASU & UofA would join the 6 Big XII schools in a division and the original Pac 8 teams would be in a division.

The league would form it's own TV network like the Big 10. Can you imagine a league with the California and Texas TV markets and recruiting bases?

In addition the league would move to solidify Rose Bowl, Fiesta Bowl & Holiday Bowl bids with the top 3 teams from the Big 10 in football.

What would totally hilarious is if Kansas saw this coming and jumped in with Nebraska to the Big 10 leaving Missouri out inntge cold. I think the big 10 would choose Kansas over Missouri.

Paul Finebaum on OTL today...

Moderator: "Paul, what would SEC folks say about kansas?

Paul: "They would laugh. With all due respect to my follow panelists... kansas doesn't matter."

Which explains why kansas has been at the center of the Big 10 discussion all along...

Is all of this Weiberg's fault? Everyone moaned and groaned about what a bad commissioner he was for the Big XII. Bad TV packages and he wouldn't stand up for the teams in his conference. Or is it all simply a function of where the population centers and TV markets are?

Listening to the Animal while driving home and they said that the KU AD is the highest paid AD in the country. He has to be squirming in his seat these days between the ticket office scandal and now KU maybe left out in the cold.

Yes, but Bebee is proving himself to be even more incompetent. Seriously, how hard could it be to run a conference. Truthfully, I think this ALL started when the B12 moved to Dallas. Dumb, dumb, dumb.
