OU Softball

We know that Texas is not easy to beat. I don't think we want ASU at their best either.

The key to OU---will Keilani throw strike? If she has her control, I don't think Michigan can beat her.

Given my druthers, I would rather that OU would have played in the time slot that Texas-ASU just finished, rather than the nightcap.

As bad as we were in the top of the 3rd inning, we're lucky to only give up one run. Need to get our bats warmed up.

Picked up 4 runs in the bottom of the 3rd. Much better!

Chamberlain hit a pitch that was out of the strike zone and just pounded it!

OU wins 7-1. Ricketts finished with the no-hitter. First one at the World Series in 5 years.

Having she and Chamberlain is like having Breanna Stewart and Maya Moore in the same team.

I don't think Michigan had played strong enough opposition to be competitive against Keilani. From top to bottom, the Big Ten is probably the weakest competition of the BCS conferences. It's Nebraska, Michigan, and nobody.

The people who drove in runs:
Casey
Williams
Shults
Chamberlain 2
Parsons

Who do you pitch to?

Pendley may never make those mistakes again.

Hopefully she got them out of her system on a game that promised to be, and was a laugher.

But anytime you are playing at this level, you don't want to give the other team hope. Just put your foot on their neck and put 'em out of their misery... which we did, eventually.

We will definitely have to play better tomorrow to beat Texas and Luna - but I believe that we will do it.

One thing I don't like about softball is how many girls don't run through first base. A number of them stop and turn around 2-3 steps past the base. Not sure why coaches tolerate that.

I guess they don't have your expertise or eye for detail.
