Tanner Groves +11 Sam Godwin -12
NIT bound. We just can’t win close games against good teams. Another game where we led late and can’t close it out. Not blocking out, running awful offense, getting beat to loose balls, and inexplicably not having the ball in Grant’s hands for long stretches of the second half.
texas not getting to 7 fouls is all you need to know about the second half refs
Welcome to the Porter Moser era. Surely we'll win a close game at some point, right?
This is so lame. The refs weren’t bad. They let a LOT of contact slide from us. Tanner probably should have fouled out on the over the back rebound.
not winning vs a top 6 team great take
This is who we are right now. We can play you tough but we can’t make the plays when needed to beat you. This loss stings. You wonder where we are going to get a road win to make up for it and you wonder how many other home losses like this we will see.

The offense scored pretty much every possession the last couple minutes. But the defense couldn't get a rebound. They had like 3 shots at it that one possession that was killer after that it was all free throws.Any offensive play that doesn’t run through Sherfield is a mistake

Come on, Boulder. It’s a fact that we have lost almost every close game we have played against good teams during Moser’s two years. We don’t execute late, we turn it over, we make silly mistakes. He’s not complaining about one loss to a great team. He is commenting on a trend that is undeniable. Almost every team in this league is really good. You have to beat some of them, and playing at home against a team missing its head coach, is a great opportunity. Alas
