My gripe isn't with the recruiting, or any of the individual players, but consistency. Any team has good, better, and worse games. BUT we have 13 decent players, different talents and skills, and there is no way we should look this way against a mediocre team. We missed inside shots, 0 for 7 on 3's in the second half, shot pooly at the free throw line, couldn't defend the pick and roll, did not rebound well, and most importantly, North Texas played with more composure and confidence in OUR gym than we did. And we did not gather ourselves and put on a spurt in the second half/ 4th quarter to win the game.
It was a poor performance that was more than mental, more than physical, more than players, more than just coaching. We had better players, and we did not win.
Correct the course of the season, or this could be another disappointing year.
