Paging Steven Pledger fans!

You guys sound like a bunch of elementary students...grow up a little.

I think Capel could have been right when he said that last year. But WTSooner is right, the top spot belongs to Steven Pledger now. He's a much better player than he was last season. This is his team. As Pledger goes, so will this OU team.

I have been on the Pledger bandwagon since before he arrived on campus nearly three years ago. The only change is that it's stronger now than ever!

Osby is a solid player but I don't see him remotely being the best player on the team. In my opinion Pledger, Grooms, and Fitzgerald are all playing better than him right now. Cam is playing about as well as Osby. He is doing a solid job of rebounding but he does not score enough to remotely be considered the best player on the team.

I like Osby and I think he is going to be pretty effective next season. I am very excited for next season. OU's only need (assuming M'Baye is the real deal - and all he has to be is the first big off the bench when it looks like he will be more than that) is for one of two top 100 sg to contribute. I think that will happen. If one of those guys can give Pledger 10 minutes of rest per game, OU should be very good. Blair can give Grooms 10 minutes of rest per game. Fitzgerald, Osby and M'Baye can all play about 27 minutes a game. Cam will play about 25 minutes and Neal can play about 15. Nobody will be tired and foul trouble will almost never be an issue.

Thomas Robinson and Marcus Denmon.

You may be right. Although Pledger is now leading the big 12 in scoring, so you could make a case that he's at the same level as Denmon. Robinson is probably a better all-around player because of his rebounding.

I'm not sure who the better player is between Osby and Pledger right now. Pledger shoots a lot of threes and his hot right now, but Osby rebounds and blocks shots. Osby is unselfish and not needed to score big when Fitz is the go-to post player and Pledge is the go-to perimeter player.

I'd take either of them on my team. They both are improving. I think Romero will be more assertive on the offensive end as we go, and Pledger will cool off. He's been shooting out of his mind. I just hope he doesn't cool off too much.
