As we talked about the four-guard lineup in the past, one of my biggest concerns was perimeter defense, which was pathetic tonight. WWIII and Pledger were terrible. WWIII will not be an NBA guard with the defense he played tonight. We are getting beat off the dribble at the time line and NO-ONE rotates over to help. It's basic fundamentals.
It's not design, it's effort. If Capel doesn't get more effort from this bunch, it will be a long, long year.
And, I will state again, WWIII needs at least one more year in college.
