I have said repeatedly that I like playing a weak non-conference schedule, particularly early.
The downside is, it can give a false sense of security. Just because you can make certain passes against a weak team does not mean you can get by with them against a good team. Same with dribble penetration, getting off shots, rebounding, defense, etc. It's easy to look good on both sides of the ball when there's an imbalance in talent.
While we are seeing everyone play now, that will change when we play tougher teams. Following is a list of players I expect we will see in the rotation against teams like Texas:
Gabbi
Peyton
Derica until Gioya gets back
Maddie
Kaylon
T'ona
ViVi
Treece
Maybe Shaya
Our challenge is, when a scorer like Peyton comes out, we do not have a scorer to bring in. We don't see a huge drop off when ViVi comes in but we do with everyone else.
