Man I was dead wrong about them. They are atrocious. Can't believe Cunningham is going to waste a year of his life there, and while it may not ultimately hurt it, it's certainly not going to help his draft stock to play in that program.

Props for starting this thread. We all are wrong about plenty of stuff and aren't always quick enough to admit it!

Along those lines, I will give abd credit for predicting WVA would be back in the mix this season. I went to the game in Lawrence Saturday and even though they have their usual offensive limitations, they are a very good team. And that freshman big is a beast -- scary that a freshman can be that big, and he goes after every rebound with a vengeance.

Did I hear last night's announcers say Likekele had been out with mono? If so, that could explain why he's been ineffective since his return.

Few things bring me greater delight than to see the aggies struggling in any sport, but they were playing better ball before than they are now, and I suspect they will get back to that level at some point.

Bigger surprise to me is Yor Anei has been a no show the last few games. He was getting some hype to get drafted by next year.

Cunningham will be top 3 pick if he plays at OSU, UK or Maryland EasternShore.

I was wrong as well. They have regressed though. Seniors should sit and they should prepare for next year right now.

Now that conference play is underway, Guerin Emig started doing Big 12 weekly rankings, and OSU is No. 10:

Record: 9-5/0-2

NET: 55

This week: Sat at TCU, 1 pm

The Cowboys won’t be here long, but where else do you put a team that lost its league opener by 35 points, then scored 41 next time out at home? A pitiful Big 12 start for Mike Boynton.

As for OU, the Sooners are right in the middle:

Record: 10-3/1-0

NET: 43

This week: Wed at Texas, 8 pm; Sat at Iowa State, 7 pm

Kristian Doolittle, Austin Reaves and Brady Manek have played really well. Guards Jamal Bieniemy and De'Vion Harmon have not. Lon Kruger needs more from Bieniemy and Harmon to make the NCAA Tournament.

Also on OSU note, there was a milestone in last night's loss, as noted by Frank Bonner II:

Oklahoma State entered with a 12-0 record under coach Mike Boynton when holding opponents under 60 points. The Mountaineers broke that trend by applying tough defensive pressure of their own to help seal the win. The 41 points scored by OSU is the lowest total of the season.

Yep... they have gone into a hole. I really thought they would be good and it looked that way before Likekele got mono.

He's too talented to fall far, but a bad season in a bad system can drop you a few spots, which ends up being millions of dollars.

I've been adamant the whole time that OSU sucks. I never understood what there was to like on that team as currently assembled.

I didn't think they would be really good or anything, but I thought with their returning nucleus of guys, that they would be noticeably improved by default. They looked a lot better earlier in the season, but right now they are struggling. They definitely don't look like a tournament team.
