Bolded are the years he was above .500 in conference play.
Italicized are the years with Cameron Krutwig.
To be fair, I'm sure all the other MVC schools had much better NIL packages in the Illinois State and early Loyola days. Plus, they had some late night tip offs and their arenas were bad.

It doesn’t matter what anyone thinks. JoeC isn’t going to fire Porter. I am not sure he actually knows how to fire anyone unless they clearly cross a line with the NCAA or has back to back losing seasons (maybe?). He also thinks hiring them is the end of his job.

We have to hope PM figures the late game out and gets lucky enough to have E8 or FF run. Then you can get rid of him as he might go to a school with an AD who doesn’t neglect the bball program. Of course, then you will have gotten rid of a 2x FF coach .. so jokes on us either way lol.

Hoping the board can wait until the “One Shining Moment” montage ends with Porter smiling & cutting down the nets before it resumes calling him the worst coach in America and that he is single-handily keeping OU in the SEC basement.

I didn’t realize Cameron Krutwig was the 2nd coming of Wilt Chamberlain till reading this thread…I must have missed him at the NBA all-star game
I mean, look at his college stats. He was a great college player. I look forward to you debunking that apparently by citing to the nba?? Weird argument

Also apparently he was a 3rd team AA. So can't wait to see you refute this

Please don't be this dense...

Here are my scoring numbers for player evaluation from Krutwig vs our team this year:

That is every year of his with the adjustments actually bringing his scores down too.

It is not even close, Krutwig was a stud.

PS: That Kobe Elvis value...love the addition to our program. :|

Why does your nil value jump so much between Taylor and elvis?

"Hollis Price was not any good because he didn't play in the nba all-star game..."

Weird there are 12 experts here but 300 colleges would take him tomorrow if their job was open.

Sure he has faults. Every coach does. Money can cover up faults really quick.
Yeah, and I'm not saying it was 100% we would have had them, but imagine our roster/record/seeding if our NIL was even middle of the pack or so in the SEC at about $5M.

Our team, and opinions on PM, probably would look different if we had Pedula, Garrison, and Oweh (or Robinson or an equivalent wing) on this team.

All of who we missed out on, mostly, because of inferior NIL.

PM has his faults and has struggled for most of his tenure on closing out competitive games where we had a chance, especially against better teams. And I've stated, at this point, that I'm okay either way if he is or isn't our HC next year. But he looks a LOT different as a HC with a $5M budget vs what we have now.

Krutwig would not have held up in SEC or Big 12. He benefitted from his level of play for those stats. He was good, but rigors of stronger conference makes a difference. Playing in that league would Sam or northweather have better stats compared to their sec year? I would think so.

This is true.

Also, Porter was fortunate that Loyola went to the Final Four through the bracket that was busted by UMBC's upset of Virginia, the first and only win by a #16 seed over a #1. Loyola still beat who they played, but their bracket became easier due to upsets.

If any other schools are reading this: PM is amazing! Please don’t hire him away from us! Please! I’m begging you!

Not to derail, but Farleigh Dickinson as a #16 also beat #1 Purdue with Zack Edey two years ago.

But your point is correct. Brackets and matchups determine NCAA success for any team as much as talent and coaching do. It was common for us to struggle in the Billy days depending on officiating and pace/style of play in the NCAA even if we were heavily favored.

Sweet 16 runs by PM and Loyola or any other lower seeded team relies on another upset to get them there.

EDIT: @Maverick008 beat me to the #1 seed upset by 30 seconds or so. LOL.

6'9 255 would not have held up in the SEC or Big12?

Will just have to agree to disagree
