Possible transfers

Surely with Dylan Disu just entering the portal from Vandy and being rumored to Texas that has to help with Williams to OU??

Tanner seems like Spangler with a better outside shot and stronger finish inside. Those KU guys were bouncing off him like ping pong balls. And the younger Groves appears to be a good finisher mid range and around the hoop as well as a pretty nice outside shot. I think they will both help quite a bit.

I think Harkless would have started at point over Harmon if they both came back and Lon stayed. Not downing Harmon because he was a solid guy and could have been better if he returned. Outside shot improved a lot.

Harkless is kind of wild with the ball but I think he is our point unless we pick up a good one. A different offensive approach will also make a difference. Moser will run a more disciplined offense than Kruger.

I appreciate being objective and realistic on the part of some posters. Means much less when being objective is consistently negative.

Harkless is not a PG by any stretch of the imagine IMO

Krutwig just announced he is going Pro. That is what I expected to happen, but was a little surprised it took that long to announce. He has nothing left to prove in college, and once we signed T-Groves, there really wasn't a likely scenario where we landed both him and Krutwig.

I'll take T-Groves for two years over Krutwig for what would have been one year.

Krutwig's a better distributor. Groves better outside shooter.

Probably a push in finishing.

Groves a better rebounder.

Krutwig has shown he can defend at an elite level. Jury's out on Groves in that area.

Very similar players. Both were the best player on winning teams.

I'm all about Bryce and Bryson right now. Deliver those two, and OU, Texas, Kansas, and Baylor are going to all have a chance to compete deep into post-season.

Don't sleep on Kansas State. They reeled in a bunch of transfers and have a pretty complete team..... Very good guards (4 of them), and a guy who may turn into one of the best true centers in the country. We will see how the Wake Forest transfer does at power forward. But they look pretty darn good for this year.

PG: Markquis Nowell (5'7'' 155 - Senior) - Transfer from UALR
-Known as a prolific scorer and terrific passer, Nowell has 48 career double-digit scoring games, including 17 games of 20 or more points and three 30-point games. Nowell led the Trojans across the board during their breakout 2019-20 campaign, averaging a team-best 17.5 points on 43.1 percent (148-of-343) shooting, including 39.7 percent (77-of-194) from 3-point range, with a team-high 4.8 assists, 2.9 rebounds and 2.2 steals in 33.3 minutes per game

SG: Mark Smith (6'5'' 220 - Senior) - Transfer from Missouri
-Averaged over 10ppg in 3 years at Mizzou. Also averaged over 3rpg per game.

SG: Nijel Pack (6'0'' 180 - Sophomore) - Averaged 13 points, 4 rebounds, and 4 assists per game as a true freshman. Shot nearly 41% from 3. Had 18 against Baylor... 23 against TCU... 9 points and 9 assists against OU... 22 against Texas... 26 against Texas A&M... 17 against Texas Tech.. 14 against OSU...

SG: Mike McGuirl (6'2'' 195 - Senior) - Coming back for a 5th year to KSU. Averaged 12 points, 4 rebounds, and 4 assists per game for KSU last year.

PF: Ismael Massoud (6'8'' 220 - Junior) - Transfer from Wake Forest
-Averaged 8.3 points and 3.4 rebounds as a sophomore for Wake Forest. Had 31 points against Pitt... 17/8 against Duke... 13/7 against NCST... 12/5 against Virginia Tech... 13/3 against Virginia...

C: Davion Bradford (7'0'' 265 - Sophomore) - Averaged 8 points and 4 rebounds per game as a true freshman. Had 14/7 against Texas. 18/3 against Baylor.. 18/7 against ISU.. 13/8 against OU... 14/9 against TCU.

Didn't K-State lose their best guard and a solid role player? Bradford could legit be a beast though! I'm not buying that team with Webber running it.

Would be great. Odds and predictions are LSU. Stranger things could happen.

Any updates on possibilities for the other scholarship besides the hopefully Bryce one?
