Rebounding is a major focus this preseason.

He's put in a lot of time in the post. Working on those moves. I think he will be much improved.

Very few play 10 guys... Id say 8-9 tops. But we have a some good depth!

That's a starting 5 that is very quick. I hope we take advantage of their athleticism. They should be able to defend most anyone bring mental mistakes.

I thought Buford was starting to show promise during the tourney. Also, I think James will make a lot of progress this year. The season for me is going to be the most anticipated one in a while. I can't wait for the season to start.

I have a question for practice goers. Handles... Who of our guards can handle the rock besides Jordan? As much as James played at the end I never got a feel for his handles. Odomes? Wonder what it'll be like when we get pressed by a team like Huggy Bear's with this squad..

8 will play consistently, 9 with foul trouble.

They really don't want to play Jordan at the point but it looks like it might be a necessity.

Vbdad, any chance Strong, Shepherd or one of our other guards improves enough to allow Jordan to swing to the two later on? It would be a shame if he is saddled with running our offense full time, on the heels of a banner season when he was free to roam on the wing last year.

I will be surprised if Strong can't run the point effectively. The guy was a 2nd team Juco AA 2 years ago. His film makes him look like a Woodard clone.

I think omar leary was 1st team (might have been 2nd team) so doesn't mean much in juco

I'm sure Strong will do fine. I like that his Juco coach said he was the hardest working player every day in practice for 2 years. If he is a hard worker, he will play some defense.

Besides, I don't consider Woodard a great defender. He is sneaky and has come a long ways since his freshman year.

They certainly hope somebody can run it. This is the year we needed Pritchard to be here. Young will be running it in a year if all goes correctly!
