There's a LOT of big question marks on that roster. It will be fun watching to see what/who develops.

Did Gibbs grow an inch in one day?

Ha ha. I saw a roster where she was listed at 6'1" yesterday but I believe that was her sophomore year. In another post Felisha says she's approximately 6'3" so I assume she's in the 6'3" range. I guess we will know her true heighth when she signs her LOI. :)

:ez-laugh: We're going to put some heals on her Nikes.

Here is what her Twitter account says:

The latest from Felisha Gibbs (@FelishaGibbs). Felisha Danyelle Gibbs, I am 6'2, play basketball, goofy, love to laugh, friendly, and is random!

Carter is growing too!

So we will have four seniors, one junior, two sophomores, and seven freshmen in terms of eligibility. Is that correct?

Well everyone wanted Sherri to use her ships and she did! Now we just have to see how they do? Anyone know/brave enough to rank the newbies?

The "6-3" comes from a post by Banjo on the Recruiting thread that is supposedly Felisha on Teenspot, whatever Teenspot is.

First, I think I said earlier we would have 7 freshmen but there are only 6.

Okay, here goes..not counting Maddie:

5-10 Fr Gioya Carter
6-3 Fr Shaya Kellogg
5-5 Fr T'Ona Edwards
5-10 Fr Derica Wyatt
6-3 Fr Felisha Gibbs

ranking wise
Derica Wyatt ( at least one national site thinks she's top 50, no other recruit has that ranking by any other service)
Gioya Carter
Shaya Kellog
T'ona Edwards
Felisha Gibbs

Thanks for the rankings I do not know anything except what is written. I know Wyatt has a lot of accolades but comes from a small school (graduating class 50 ).

I don't know much at all about how athletic Wyatt is or what kind of defender or rebounder she is but, I do like the fact she can shoot. Even if she never starts at OU, she can still spell other guards and you still have a player with some offensive firepower.

If everyone is healthy, this gives us 13 on the active roster. Compared to what Sherri had to work with this year, that is a good number. I suspect in the future she will try to start every year with a minimum of 13.

I have seen Gioya play live, Derica on line for the state championship, haven't seen the others. This is probably pretty close to how I would rank the newbies, however I would give the slight edge to Gioya over Derica. I hope all the kids are able to contribute.

I've seen Shaya in a game against Miami, a team with Kai James and Moncrief. The Iowa team had Jadda Buckley, who was a detriment that day. Shaya was clearly better than Kai James on that day, as a scorer, rebounder, and team leader. I came away from watching that game with a good opinion of Shaya and Moncrief.

I watched the Tennessee title game, and I liked what I saw of Derica. Unlike the Iowa Attack/Miami game, it was not a bunch of all-stars, and I can't comment on how good Derica will be against D-1 opposition. She did some things that gave me hope.

I have not seen Gioya, Peyton, Felisha, or D'Ona. If Kai James is in the top twenty-five, so is Shaya.

Atlanta, you know a lot more than me as to where these kids are ranked, but aren't they all named to their state's all-state teams? That would seem to indicate that they have some good skills. I noticed Shaya Kellog was rated a four star recruit by ESPN. Would that place her in the top 100 in the numerical rating or not? I'm just asking, I know zero about how these kids are ranked.
