Pritchard decommits

I thought all along that with Pritchard's OU ties, LK could hang on to him but obviously more traditional programs are knocking at the door.

Too bad for the program.

If it's true, it'll be interesting to learn if he's ruled us out or just opened up his recruiting. His most recent tweet (June 20) is an OU-centric one, and #Oklahoma is still in his Twitter profile. It could just be he's not updated his Twitter info, of course, but hopefully not.

Very few commit back to the team they decommitment from. This shocks me, he has been very pro OU since he committed, wonder what changed.

I agree. I'm just hoping that, because he's been so high on OU, he's the exception to that trend and he just wants to keep his options open a bit longer, enjoy the process a little bit.

Hope you're right, haven't been this excited about a recruit since willie warren.

@jeffborzello: Payton Pritchard's father: "He committed early. He just wants to be 100 percent sure. We want him to be 100 percent comfortable."

That's positive at least, I guess. But yeah once someone decommits I don't expect them to go back with that school.

His dad said something along the lines of: he committed early and we want to mKe sure he is 100% comfortable with his decision.

Edit: See ALT's post above, its official. Really disappointing.

really wish we would have used our extra scholarship on a transfer that would be eligible in 2016 now...

This sucks

wow... wasn't he actually coming in early also. Lonnie and Co have their work cut out for them - they've put so much into Pritchard that this'll more then sting if he doesn't come back on board (which probably isn't that likely)

He was CLOSE to coming in the 2015 class. Wish he would've....

First, I have no problem with the kid doing what's best for him. Second, there is no good timing when something like this happens, now OU is behind trying to find and land another kid. Third, another example of why you cannot get to excited about a player before he signs and before he does something in an OU uniform.
