we are now 19 in the RPI with the #7 SOS

7-5 road neutral record

5 of our L are against top 50 RPI and no loses are sub 100 RPI

2 top 25 rpi wins and 3 top 50 wins ..

we are an 8 seed in todays bracket on espn.com

Through yesterday's games we are actually 17th in rpi and I prefer palms bracketology which was updated this morning where we are a 7 seed!

If we can win 12 or 13 conference games and finish in the rpi top 20 I think we can pull a 5 or 6 seed

Clearly if the selection committee made their picks today, this OU team would be a lock for the NCAA tourney.

I'm not greedy, though. When the dust settles on the season, I'll take a return to the dance with a decent draw in the first round and not complain one bit. The lengthy drought we've been through the past few years has made me a lot more humble than I used to be.

Well, they have played 23 games. We have seen about what they have got. They look like a tourney quality team. They are playing like a touney quality team.

As the regular season winds down I think it is safe to say that they will win some and lose some. But, it is also reasonable to assume that they will continue to look and play like the touney quality team that they are.

Even with Buddy gone, I'm still optimistic that we are playing for a seed not an invite.

Amazing what this team has accomplished. Hopefully, this year is the one we can look back on and realize it was where the tide turned. I can't wait to be back to the days of competing for the league and playing for a seed each year.
