KK shot 67% from the field Saturday. But played very little. And not due to fouling out.

Vivi only played 10 minutes, but turned in 5 turnovers and 2 points in that time. Let's see. Play 40 minutes and you would have 40 turnovers. Hmmm.

Why do you think Sherri benched our best player (and the player showing the best offense) most of the game? Was she afraid the cowgirls were trying to injure her like they did J. McFarland a few years ago, and feared having to play without her (or her having to play injured) the rest of the year?

I think it was more of a disappearing Kay Kay act. She only attempted 3 shots in 16 minutes, and two of those were really bad efforts, falling down. She only had two rebounds. We need more productivity than that. She also had three turnovers in not much time on the court. She wasn't playing smart. OSU's players didn't have her agility, but they worked. Our starters were pulled for a reason.

You may be right, Syb. But having gone back and watched it 2 times, she was severely fouled on one of those - even though it was not called. And the other was called and she hit 1 of the two free throws. She took 3 shots from the field, and made 2 of them. I don't see how anyone can criticize that.

When Sherri pulled the starters and put in the 5 subs, we instantly fell behind by 10 more points. It was a disaster. I have very seldom seen a coach do such a thing, so I assume she was frustrated and let it get the best of her.

I am convinced we have 2 problems. One is that Peyton is having so much trouble scoring. I think she came up with the big zero Saturday. The other is we don't have a producing point guard. Peyton may come around, but the pg issue is likely to be with us the rest of the year. I wonder how many games have been played with a team only having 4 assists?

I have much more background in women's Basketball than probably anyone else on the board, and I can tell you playing 10-12 players and not having regular combinations creates all kind of problems - including turnover issues and problems with assists. You simply cannot count on teammates being where you expect them to be.

The last thing I want to see (as if I have any actual input) is for her to bench KK when we need points.

Last year, she benched Kay Kay for the Arkansas game. Apparently, it was to send a message. Sometimes, Kay Kay seems to forget herself. She lapses back into slapping at the ball, and quits thinking about what she is trying to do. She may be terrible for a half and fantastic in the other half, after she wakes up. She was strong against the 6-6 posts of Baylor, but she couldn't deal with OSU?

I don't know what the deal is with Gabbi right now. Last year, she was very good at the end of the year. Right now, she throws passes where they can't be caught, seems to forget that someone might intercept a pass, especially a short lob, and gets too involved in her own dribbling. If Gabbi or T'Ona dribble more than five seconds in a possession, we don't score most of the time. I'm hoping that Gabbi wakes up.

I realize that hitting shots solves a lot of problems but with Goiya still not herself physically and Sharane graduating, we don't have anyone who consistently drives the lane. Does that account for our offensive problems?

None of that excuses the poor effort that was exhibited Saturday, though.

MsProud, I think you've hit the major problem we have right now. If we had a couple of guards who could drive inside and knock down 10-15 foot jump shots, it would add a huge dimension to this offense.

Even when Goiya wasn't hitting, they had to account for her and it left someone on the outside more open.
