Quick Bracket Projection Update

Adding to the above post, it would be beneficial to us for the following teams to lose early in their respective conference tournaments:
LaSalle
Temple
Iowa
Virginia
Cal

I'm not saying we are competing with the above teams as I am confident we are ahead of them on the seeding line, but if they lose.....it certainly wouldn't hurt us.;)

Also, there will be no Cinderallas in the Big East Tourney nor the MWC (Boise lost last night). Also, Florida and Mizzou meeting in the SEC finals would also give us a little more cushion.

I would rather win today, but we appear to be in really good shape.

We were already a lock, but with Boise and MTSU losing there really shouldn't be any more discussion about it...we're in.

Can admit I am a MWC apologist, but there is no way Boise belongs in over us.

I believe we are a lock as well, but we are in a strange position with regards to the field. Unless we make the Big 12 tournament finals, I think we are pretty much stuck in the range of a 9/10 seed. I could see us falling to an 11 if we lose today, but I don't think we have much of a shot at a 7. Regardless, there really isn't much difference between a 6-11 until you get to your 2nd round game.

Outside the top seeds, everything is about match ups. For us, since we don't do anything exceptionally well, it probably doesn't matter a whole bunch what position we are slotted in.

As long as we avoid a team that puts tons of back-court and perimeter pressure on our guards, should have a good shot on pulling out a first round win.

This.. which is why I get anxious how often I see us opposite VCU in projections. Florida and Louisville are two teams to avoid, too.

Florida and Louisville will be top 4 seeds, so definitely not expecting a win against them. However, facing either is unlikely given where we are slotted.

After watching VCU dismantle Butler, that may be the #1 team I don't want to face.

i think will will play either the play in game next tuesday or wednesday or start in the 2nd round
