Quinnipiac

Guys you can't blame the girls for all the fouls. When officials are calling a game of this magnitude with every little touch foul you can't play defense. The officials called this game like a Jr High game. I have never seen officiating as bad as its been this year in the NCAA both men and women, they are taking it away from the kids. Since our girls couldn't play defense they played offense.

Good analysis. I especially liked that last line.

I believe that OU's score was the highest in the NCAA tourney in several years.

I'll be shocked if we hit 70 against the Cardinal on Monday.

Well, Quinnipiac wanted to push the tempo to an uptempo game, they got their wish. Their problem was that OU outdid them at their own game. I didn't like some of the sloppy play that we engaged in, but on that kind of game, it comes with the territory sometimes.

Our girls just do not use their heads sometimes, committing stupid over-the-back fouls when there is NO chance to get the ball, making bad, low-percentage passes that get picked off for turnovers, etc.

Love the win, but some of the sloppy play will bite us against better competition.

Pretty accurate.

They way they scored, I thought this was close until about three minutes left. When Maddie hit that three to give us a 23 point lead, I figured it was secure.

Yeah, that 3 was a clincher, but my nervous point was at around the 13 minute mark. They had just hit a 3 to get within 11 points, then the OU timeout. Then Gabbi let her pocket get picked, but hustled down the floor and stole the ball right back, then nailed 333! That pushed it to 14 point lead, then Maddie followed with another 333!!!

THAT, in my opinion, was the turning point to ease my fears of a Quinnipiac upset.

Yep,

You survive, you advance. Don't carry one game over to the next.

I hope they carry the 3 pt. shooting over.

This team scares the h$$l out of me. Under 7 and a 22 point lead and I was still nervous.

They play so wild at times and take big chances trying to steal the ball and Q made them pay the entire game.

Agree with the officiating. Some of the fouls were dumb but they were calling every deep breath as a foul. Not fair to the players.

Stanford will be very tough. Not as good as usual but they will control the game better and have a couple of standout guards and enought size to give us problems inside. And on their home court as well.

were gonna have to score in the half court- they will try to slow us down.

This game they didn't look very big down low and did not rebound very well.. Honestly, I don't see them being better than Texas or some of the other teams we beat but its on there court. Its tough to win on other peoples court. It should be a good game to watch tho.
