Realistic look at next year (number of wins)

My guess is that he was referring to upperclassman Buddy, not Buddy the freshman.
 
I'm going a shade of over 20 until I see that they can play D down the stretch and rebound the ball.

Assuming Trae lives to expectations, the entire season depends on Doolittle and McNease/Lattin. If those guys can control the glass and defend the paint, OU is business.. 22-24 wins.

OU has the right combo of shooters and slashers, at least in the starting lineup. We will see how the bench forms.

Doolittle is classified as a shooter? I know he can hit from outside but I wouldn't classify him as a shooter quite yet

LOL of course it's not. OU should get 20 wins every year, regardless of who they lose. Now of course it's not going to happen, but shooting for anything less, for a program the stature of OU is ridiculous.
 
I was born in 1982, and last year was only the sixth time we haven't topped 20 wins in a season in my lifetime. I expect that as a baseline, yes. Our results speak for themselves.

Last season was an unmitigated disaster. I hope we win more than 20, but I don't know what to guess any more.

We've got a pot-stirrer stirring the pot again. I should know better.

this prognostication has nothing to do with the teams performance. this is completely subjective. the team hasn't even taken the floor and you're already setting us up for disappointment.

FANS are "shooting for" 20 wins? well hopefully I can do my job as a fan right so they can get 20 wins.

I think the point is no one should tell you what your own expectations should be. Most expect ou hoops to be a perennial tourney team. There's nothing wrong with setting the bar there. If you are satisfied with 20 losses seasons that's perfectly fine. No one should tell you to change your mind about that.

20 wins should be the minimum every year absent injury/transfer that are significant. I'll take the over

Boy golly, last year was just so fun to watch! I hope we can be as bad as last year so it can be so much fun again.

you are positive towards the team. that is about it.

I was meaning in regards to other posters on this board and anybody that disagrees with you.

Yes, I will still enjoy watching OU bball even if we have another year like last year. But that doesn't mean it wouldn't be dissappointing...and being dissappointed isn't a bad thing and doesn't mean I don't realize it isn't just a game. And making predictions on what next year might entail is not an unreasonable thing to do...esp on a message board. And 20 wins is not setting us up for disappointment...it's not like people are suggesting a final four run
